!!!Spoiler Alert!!!
If you have seen it then you know about the part that asks you to write a note to your younger self. The music, the imagery it gets me every time. It's just so beautifully done.
me at around age 4
This morning I stumbled across these faux fur message boards {from this talented mama via Design Sponge} and I thought they were perfect! Such a great way to share messages with your friends, family or yourself and the perfect statement piece for the cooler months ahead.
What message would you leave for yourself?

My daughter sent me that link. It is very cool. I don't know what I would tell myself. Maybe that the guy down the hall at work ends up being your husband and he is fantastic so just take notice sooner - we could have been together 2 years earlier. Also to wear more sunscreen and read more.
ReplyDeleteWell, firstly, I'm loving that adorable photo of you as a young one :) And Everton Terrace's wonderful comment made me laugh aloud! Lastly, since I heart Arcade Fire, I need to get myself Google Chrome ASAP (I'm such a cavewoman)!
ReplyDeleteOhhh what a cute photo...I love love love it:)
ReplyDeleteI would write to myself...dont sweat the small stuff...just enjoy it:)
Kisses,sweetie
Ps: I love that board...Such a creative idea
PPs: I am hosting a sweet jewelry GIVEAWAY today :) Hope you will join in!!!
I love this! I would probably write something pretty corny and typical affirmation speak to myself... like you are beautiful (inside more than outside), you are compassionate, you are light, you are love.
ReplyDeleteThe fur is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAw, what a stylish little lady!!! Also, loving the idea of a letter to your younger self. Maybe I'll give that a blog whirl sometime.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cool. I had heard about it and actually knew someone who had done the letter thing prior. The fur thing though - that's a whole different level!
ReplyDeleteIf I was to write myself a note it would be: Don't be afraid. Run and don't look back!
For some reason I was such a homebody who was so afraid of everything (probably b/c of my overprotective mother and the fact that i was extremely small).
Welp, here I am 2000 miles away from home so I guess I made out okay :)
xoxo,
Carrie
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!!
ReplyDeleteI need one of those message boards, they are too cute!
Cannot get the smile off my face right now.
I hope you are good.

LOVE that picture of you! How cute! I used to wear bows in my hair just like these. My message would say "SMILE."
ReplyDeleteLove this!

Isn't that video amazing?! It made me so happy. And look how adorable you were as a little girl!!
ReplyDeleteLoving this fur board... such an amazing idea. I am definitely going to try to recreate it for my future baby room one day! :)
Such a cute picture of you!! I hadn't seen that video - very cool. I'm with Heather - I would probably write an affirmation as well. "You are fabulous, and you can do anything you want to do!"
ReplyDeletevery cool!!
ReplyDeleteMine would be: God is in control.
I just hit that link. My message to myself was,
ReplyDelete"Dear Me,
I love you very very much. You are strong, beautiful & powerful. Know that I will always be here for you. You, Me & God can be best friends always. :)"
This was cute! Thank you!
coolest. message. board. ever.
ReplyDeletemine would say "enjoy the moment"
p.s. you were such a cute kiddo!

I tried it a while ago, but I use Firefox so...it was a frightening experience. Nothing loaded right, everything was skippy. And I've moved around so much that I didn't really have an address to give for where I "grew up". The one I gave didn't have the Streetview technology so that didn't work either. But the concept seems amazing!
ReplyDeleteThose message boards are amazing! Great find. And look at how cute you are! Awww.
I'm speechless, I'm crying and I'm so grateful you showed me this! I had never seen it! I'll share with you what my note to my younger self was...
ReplyDelete"Everything is going to be ok"
xx

I haven't seen. But the boy's computer has Google Chrome, so I'll check it out :)
ReplyDeleteYou were such a cutie!! I'd say to myself what my motto is now...everything happens for a reason. Because i had some pretty rubbish times when but if they hadn't have happened I would never had met my husband and be totally insanely in love and happy like a crazy person! Great post xx
ReplyDeleteSuch a great question... So many contradictory things I would wish to teach myself. On the one hand life is so much shorter than it seems to us, so make it count on people and activities you love. But then also, not to forget to have fun... xo bb
ReplyDeleteIt's been quite the summer because while that video is getting a lot of buzz, and it's just the way everyone will start doing things, what is really amazing is that Arcade Fire has with the release of The Suburbs unleashed upon the world one of the greatest albums of all time!
ReplyDeletehow cool is that!
