Warning, today's post is a little pensive cross section of my life at present. The fun fashion and highlights of Vancouver will definitely be coming. I'm just indulging in the thoughtfulness and aching of my heart as of late.
Doing my morning blog reading {my favorite kind} I stumbled across this image. This beautiful blogger compiled 100's of her favorite memories and dreams for the future that she shared with her love and sealed them inside this bottle. I love the idea that you can add to it over time or read them as you please... sigh.. I'm such a sappy romantic.
It's funny how life is made up of moments. Moments that ask you to define what kind of person you are, what kind of things you want for your life and that if all the noise and nonsense was taken away, what's truly important to you.
Our response to particular moments define the nuts of bolts of who we are as individuals. I honestly believe that if you have people in your life that value you as you value them and you share the same moral code, you'll only grow together. It won't always be easy, but you'll grow, together.
I've been having one of those "Jesus take the wheel' moments lately and just trusting that I will land wherever I am supposed to. I am grateful to be surrounded by love and friendship but boy oh boy this is certainly a 'moment.'
I know from one blogger to another how wonderful it feels to have a virtual circle of friends that I've lovingly referred to as 'floggers', {friends + bloggers}. I just want to thank everyone for your kind words. This growing group is making my heart happy.

Your post in along the lines of my life right now! I so appreciate all my "flogger" (love that, I think I will have to borrow it from you!!) that encourage and support me through all aspects of my life.

ReplyDeletebeautiful, beautiful photos
i'm glad your heart is feeling happy <3
Wow...what a surprising, touching idea. I am such a sappy romanctic too!!!! Off to check out her blog.
ReplyDeleteLovely post. My daughter has a jar filled with notes like this. I put little scrolls of notes and quotes in her advent calendar every year and she keeps them. She is a lover of words. I don't have one but I'm thinking I should remedy that. Seems we remember "moments" so much more than the big experiences. A touch, a glance, a moment...
ReplyDeleteLovely post. Part of the reason I started blogging was to capture life's little moments. They truly do make up our lives and what we become. It's not sappy...it's life!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a wonderfully honest post! I've been feeling a bit of the same things in recent history..I've kind of thrown in the towel and now I'm just hoping for the best. I really hope that good things come your way sooner rather than later. I had a post a few days ago (Hopeful Thoughts) that I'm trying to live by right now..maybe it will help you too! And your photos are lovely. I hope your time in Vancouver helps : )

Tash this is a terrific post. I don't know what is in the air right now, but 'Jesus Take The Wheel' moments are tantamount in my life at present. I'm exhausted and can barely even hold on for the ride anymore.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're relaxing as much as possible and breathing in that fresh, clean Vancouver air. There's something about being close to nature that brings about a peace in me - I hope it is the same for you.

ReplyDeleteA beautiful set of thoughts. And indeed there are moments when has to jump, moments when one has to float, and moments where one has to paddle furiously. Each has its challenges, but surrounded by friends and loved ones, you'll not make any wrong choices. xo bb
