I know that the streets of LA and NY are buzzing with Fall fashions, but something else super important is happening tonight. Stand Up to Cancer is hosting a one hour, commercial free telecast to raise money for cancer research. Many fabulous film and TV celebs like George Clooney, Gwyneth Paltrow, Renee Zellweger and one of my dearest friends Dave Annable from Brothers and Sisters, will all be on the line ready and waiting to take your donations!
So rather than buying those extra pair of over the knee socks or another piece of "must have" clothing, take a minute and think about the loved ones and families out there that would love to know that there's a community of people behind them and their quest for a cure.
Have a fabulous weekend my loves and can't wait to hear about all the wonderful things that this gorgeous fall weekend will bring you!

Such a thoughtful post. And you have a point, we spend so much on "needless" items on ourselves, we can give to something much more important.

ReplyDeleteAnything raising money for cancer research is a good thing. My husband travelled around Australia for 9 months with 3 of his best friends (years ago) and raised money for breast cancer research - about $150K! Good luck - I hope it went well xx
