farewell sweet Canada

Military green, a chunky knit and a messy fishtail braid; these are all the things that made me feel like I was Fall's friend yesterday.  I am bound for LA this morning.... Back to warmer weather and colder realities, but it's life nonetheless and I can't run away forever.

itty bitty baby squirrel

Vancouver, you have been like a soft place to land. Thank you for the beautiful people I have met and your breathtaking surroundings. You were like a warm and waterproof blanket on an icy, wet day. We will meet again, of that I am certain.

  7. I've only been to Vancouver once - a mother daughter trip with my Mom. I have been telling my husband how much he would like it for years now. What don't I go back? I don't think I've seen a baby squirrel before, or a baby pigeon, strange.

    I'm so envious of your fishtail braid. I've tried countless times on my hair.. my daughters hair.. her barbies hair .. with not a smidgen of success.
    You, tho, you look lovely!=)

  31. Vancouver = perfection. I find my way there when I'm on the edge and it somehow always seems to bring me back down...at least for awhile. For me it's a blend of the weather, so much beauty and, of course, a taste of home.

    Been thinking about you and thought I'd check in. Hope you're hanging in there.

    xoxo,
    Carrie
